At the beginning of a new era –

LIVE HAUS Mission Statement

In April 2020,
we are launching a brand-new live venue/club for the new era in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo.

The name of the venue is LIVE HAUS, which means a house to live.
By coining our name after Live House, the Japanglish word for a live venue/nightclub, we are aiming to disrupt and redefine the existing live venues.
Please call us liv haus.

LIVE HAUS
What LIVE HAUS will ultimately aim for is ‘No Venue Fee.’ We are going to provide our space to you with a high-quality sound system and a pricing system that no other venue has dared to offer before.

LIVE HAUS
welcomes people under 20 and international tourists by charging them no entrance fee. So buy your drinks and have fun.

LIVE HAUS
strives to create a safe place to respect everyone who gathers here without regard to race, ethnicity, nationality, sex, gender identity or expression, or disability.

LIVE HAUS
supports benefit music events from international issues such as disaster relief to fundraising to save individuals.

LIVE HAUS
supports events that invite international artists, which could be costly and underground music with excellent quality.

LIVE HAUS
is only a 3-minute walk from Shimokitazawa Station, in a basement space on Minami-guchi Shotengai Street, which holds up to 120 people. B1F,2-chōme-14-2 Kitazawa Setagaya City, Tōkyō-to 155-0031,Japan

『Club is open.』

LIVE HAUS, pronounced as liv haus.
It is a place that is always packed, whether it is weekday or weekend, with people from here or somewhere else, regardless of color, age, or gender.
We have no rules but decent manners here: we tolerate no discrimination or violence.

It is a place that maybe not so well-known, not-for-billboard-kind-mainstream, but wonderfully talented musicians, bands and DJs are honing their craft.

It is a safe place that anyone can come by themselves and have a good time.

Our world may be in chaos, filled with injustice and sadness.

But we can lift up our souls with music.
Get off work and get out of your classes,
and come to the gigs and parties
to charge your energy for the better tomorrow.

You can come back here anytime. The Club is always open.
